Documentary Sessions

Rooted in a documentary approach and designed with your personal and professional goals in mind, my aim is to make your portrait with you.

Curious about me? Well, I'm a documentary photographer, lawyer and intensely curious human being with an eye for the small (but important) details in life. Studio portraiture can feel stiff, and in these sessions I make beautiful what can often be an uncomfortable experience.

The Session:

I approach these sessions a bit differently. Before we meet IRL, we’ll connect over Skype or by phone. We’ll chat about where you’re at and what you’re hoping to get out of this. We’ll talk all things aesthetic. We’ll talk about what makes you feel seen in the world. We’ll talk about you. And together we’ll decide on what feels right.

The day of our session, we’ll keep talking as much, or as little, as you like. We’ll toast, tell stories, and then along the way, we’ll make portraits. You’ll get to decide which final images you purchase. Edits are intentional and soft—never batch-applied or overdone. Melanin protected. These things are important.

The Investment:

Option 1: $300. Includes one glass of bubbly (or a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice), 60 minutes of 1-on-1 time with me and my curated playlist and 2 retouched images.
